Conflicts of Interest: It can be found out that at the organisational level, if the project involves some large number of people as well as outside vendors, there might be some scenarios when stakeholders can give some inappropriate preferences to the team or the companies (Munoko et al. 2020). Hence, it is also important for the project manager to supervise properly in this context and follow the standards of the company for the bidding as well as vendor selection.
Workplace Culture: It can be found out that due to some unfaithful acts and illegal activities by the employees, the environment of the workplace and organisation can be damaged. Hence, the project managers should be familiar with the code of conduct of the organisation and carry out the project considering the organisational culture under different situations (Derakhshan et al. 2019).
Right Level of Authority: This can be stated that the project managers are responsible for the success of the projects. But at the same time, responsibility without any authority calls for the extraordinary qualities from the project managers is always unfair. Hence this is the responsibility of the project managers to carry out whole business and its related activities in fair manner (Oladinrin et al. 2023).
Based on the above discussion it can be found out that, these different ethical dilemmas can be faced by the project management team (Wu et al. 2019). Thus, it is necessary for the project management team along with project managers to carry out whole project according to the organisational rules, legitimatisations and regulations for the betterment in future and avoid any kinds of unethical works.
Now considering the above discussion it can be stated that one should obey the rules and regulations according to PMI which is considered as an essential ingredient while managing projects for overcoming any kinds of unethical behaviour (Hair Jr and Sarstedt, 2019). - The project managers should take the ownership of their own decisions along with their consequences. It consists of meeting and knowing all the legal requirements as well as reporting the unethical or illegal conduct within the project site
- The project managers should take fair and transparent decisions which might include the disclosing the conflicts of interests to their appropriate shareholders (Shepherd et al. 2020)
- One should become more honest which communicate with the stakeholders and conduct any project works
