MBTI or Myers-Briggs Type Personality Type

XNXP refers to the four personality dimensions in MBTI or Myers-Briggs Type Personality Type Indicator. The MBTI is widely used for personality assessment. MBTI or Myers-Briggs Type Indicator has 4 major types, each with two parts. In total, there are 16 combinations of personalities that tell you about yourself and what kind of person you are. These combinations provide insights into your personality. Some history: Briggs began her study of personalities.

In 1917, due to an observation she made about her son-in-law, parts of her family members having different personalities, she developed a typology.

She proposed 4 temperaments: meditative, spontaneous, executive, and social. But later, around 9023, when Carl Jung’s English translation of personality types was published, she recognized that it matched her theory, though it was far more complex. Later, she published an article in the New Republic named ‘Meet Yourself Using Personality Paint Boxes’ and ‘Up from Barbarism’.

Different industry workforces

Finally, the modern iteration of the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator was released in 1956. This helped women in different industry workforces identify what sort of workforce they would be comfortable and effective in.

First, let us understand what these four different personality dimensions of MBTI refer to.

Person relies on their own abstract thinking

Intuition refers to the degree of how much a person relies on their own abstract thinking. These kinds of people who have more intuition are generally abstract thinkers, open-minded, and more practical in a general sense.

Degree of extroversion.

Open-minded, less organized,

Perceiving this refers to the individual’s degree of flexibility or adaptability in their approach to life. Individuals with a Perceiving type personality tend to be more open-minded, less organized, and have less control over their environment.

As they plan most of the things in their life, they have a certain level of stability in their life.

As we have already discussed, each combination of all these 4 dimensions of personality is unique in its own sense and has different behaviors, motivations, and preferences. Thus, a brief introduction to all of them is necessary.

ISTJ Logicians

1 ISTJ, referred to as logicians, have a personal type of introverted sensing, thinking, and judging. They are very calm under stress, have high levels of professionalism, are data-oriented, and are very organized. However, this does not stop them from having a tendency to be judgmental at first impression. They lack flexibility.

These individuals have a harder time accepting that they are wrong.

ISFJ Defenders

ISFJ introverted sensing feeling judging, they are known as defenders. These individuals tend to have a caring personality. Their strength includes: They tend to have a high standard of work and are reliable.

The y denotes these details about other people. They are usually helpful in workplaces or life generally. They tend to have Sudden outbursts due to internalized negative emotions. They usually are extremely humble to the point of downplaying their work, and they usually have a harder time taking criticism.

INFJ Advocates

These types of individuals with this personality have high self-worth, and they do not shy away from their goods. They have a harder time moving on from them, they have a higher time being closed and vulnerable to others and they have a tendency to overwork themselves.

INTJs The Architects.

They are intuitive, introverted, thinking, and judging individuals. They are curious and want to know everything about the world. They apply logic and rationality to solve problems easily. These kinds of individuals thirst for knowledge and are extremely ambitious.

They use every opportunity to define their aspects, and they are quite open-minded, even to a degree where they can accept that they are wrong. They lack emotions as they are highly logical. They do not like authoritative figures, and their nature cannot handle ambiguity. They are usually less assertive and have a really bad social life.

ISFP The Virtuoso

Just like NFPs, they are curious about the world and love to explore, but they tend to have a more hands-on approach. They thrive when crafting something and remain grounded. These individuals are extremely diligent towards their work. Their weaknesses include an inability to open up to other people; they are usually highly skeptical of others and can be insensitive, similar to INFPs when it comes to emotions.

 

ISFP The Adventurers

Introverted sensing feelings are called adventurers. They are free-spirited individuals, open-minded, and encouraging towards others. They are quite warm and relaxing to be around. They are extremely passionate about their interests, though they tend to have a hard time sticking to something for longer terms. They are not good in overwhelming situations and struggle with self-esteem without proper support from others.

INFP The Mediator

They are very open-minded and empathetic, and they usually make the right decisions. However, these individuals lack focus and struggle to connect with others in new environments. They are also very self-critical.

 (Extroverted Sensing Thinking Perceiving) types are entrepreneurs. They are vibrant, enthusiastic, and extravagant—just what you need in an entrepreneur. They love to take action instead of idling. Extremely perceptive, they notice minor changes.

They have a bold attitude and they prefer direct communication, making them excellent entrepreneurs. However, do these traits lead them to be insensitive during emotionally vulnerable moments? They have defined attitudes and an ignorance of rules and regulations. They are fit for entrepreneurship, but these individuals also have a tendency to dive into things without fully understanding them.

ESFP The Entertainer

Extroverted Sensing Feeling Perceiving types, are the entertainers. They lead passionate lives and fearlessly embrace experiences. Their enthusiasm is infectious to those around them. However, they tend to lack long-term plans and are overly sensitive to criticism. They have a goal-oriented attitude and keen observation skills, but they can also be easily distracted.

ENFP The Campaigner

Extroverted, intuitive, feeling, perceiving. The other three spirits of most personalities, they love long, meaningful connections with people. The acute is open-minded, excellent at communication, and easy-going in nature. Though they may lack discipline and have an inability to focus, they have an overly optimistic outlook on life. These individuals tend to be not so organized.

ENTP The Debaters

(Extroverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving) are some of the most debated personalities in intellectual debates. Their high intellectual capability makes them strong contenders. They tend not to be mean-spirited, possessing wit and the ability to think on their feet. However, they do not spare people in logical debates and have a tendency to argue frequently. They may struggle with organized workplaces and have difficulty focusing on matters at hand.

ESTJ The Executives

  • They are the executives.
  • They are born with nature being a leader.
  • They love the work and traditional structures.
  • They are extremely good at mentorship.
  • They have a strong will attitude and they thrive in an orderly environment. They usually have leadership roles in almost all the groups.
  • They lack flexibility, they are not open to suggestions and they are usually always focused on maintaining order.

 

ESFJ The Consul

(Extroverted Sensing Feeling Judging) individuals are altruistic and focus on making everyone comfortable. They are usually very loyal and have a high sense of duty. However, their self-certain nature leads them to prioritize others over themselves, and they tend to seek validation from others. One of their weaknesses is that they are not open to criticism.

ENFJ The Protagonists

Extroverted intuitive feeling judging they are the protagonist. They have a strong sense of light and they are born self high words. They have an extremely charismatic personality and they love working to do good in the world. These individuals have an idealistic outlook. This leads them to have issues with people who don’t share the same values. They have a high tendency to empathize with others. This leads them to be extremely emotionally exhausted.

ENTJ The Commanders

Extraverted intuitive thinkering and Judging who believe they are the commanders. They are confident leaders and rational individuals. These kinds of people lead groups, and they are very energetic and productive. Although they trust their abilities, they can be intolerant of others’ ideas and impatient when dealing with slow people. They are extremely ruthless to ensure efficiency.
