Racism is a stratified way to treat people differently due to their race. The African American or the black individuals who get different treatment based on their race is an example of racism. Racism can have three major types such as individual racism, societal and institutional. These three are not different, they all three are interconnected and intertwined. You may think the microaggression based on race is an example of individual racism however the case is different here.
Sometimes the microaggression can take place unknowingly like you asked some coworker about their native place although they are saying that they are from the USA. Asking bisexual friend who dates a man is that she is really a bisexual? It may sound light or nothing huge but it is a form of micro aggression.
In simple terms micro aggression is a way to insult people on an everyday basis, by a dominating community to a minor community. Insults, some rude comments, some disrespectful questions anything that can be in such a category is a form of micro aggression.
Some thinkers believe that micro aggression may not be harsh, or mean to hurt or disrespect someone although it can have a pessimistic effect on those who are on the receiving end.

We can sometimes let it slide as considerable times such comments are not intended although it may have hurt you but there is a huge possibility that a person is not meant to damage your emotions or sentiments.
The second solution to racial micro aggression can be a quick fix or responding immediately. This can mean that when you encounter that something is off, some comment is not appropriate. You explained and pointed out that it is hurtful to say please do not offend me or say such discourtesies things to me. As it is simple nevertheless it allows people to understand that their comments or behaviour is not acceptable.
Wait and explain, while in the above mentioned way you can correct those people who are engaging in the micro aggression although if you comment immediately, it can become heated debate or you may comment something which can be disdaining. For that reason you can wait and talk later about it and describe the person engaging in such activity that it is severe, harsh and derogative.
