You must have not noticed that kids have the capability to remember more than adults can such as some random facts, some cartoons on tv, some facts about arithmetic. Usually kids start to learn calculation from using fingers as their guiding light then to remembering facts. Some kids switch faster than others depending on every kid and how their cognitive skills are increasing.

A research published in Nature Neuroscience, it was longitudinal study, the standard university of medicine accumulated brain images to understand how the brain changes its pattern when young kids start to explore mathematics. A memory center which is commonly called Hippocampus is involved and enables modification of the brain.

These images and research highlight important aspects of kids learning, how learning impacts their brain which can further assist to acknowledge how those children with learning disability and where the brain lacks.

Vinod menon who is author of the study from the department of psychiatry and behavioral science commented that the study will provide in-depth familiarity with the modification that takes place when kids start their learning process  , it also will be able to disclose that how each children has different way of cognitive development. 

He further elaborated that the team of researchers wants to figure out how the young brain works, how to learn new things, new knowledge however some kids are great at remembering facts than other kids even the adults.

When children solve arithmetic equations they occupy certain parts of the brain’s prefrontal cortex   and hippocampus quite differently than any adult. Adults utilize different parts of the brain to solve maths. This study accentuated this part.

Post doctoral expert and the author of the study Shaozheng Qin said that the fact that adults solve problems and young ones is quite surprising. The way young kids solve the problem,  that way is not utilized by the adults.

The expert menon said that the story will definitely underline some features that show how we can understand the learning capabilities among students. The research highlighted how young brains solve mathematical equations and also how we can help those who have issues learning mathematics.

The researcher from the brain activity and images tried to find correlation between solving mathematics and brain activity. The compare three age ranges from young kids, adolescents and adults. The data accumulated pointed that how kids have more brain activity comparing two other age ranges adolescents and adults.  The conclusion we can draw is that gradually with our age and our capability to solve mathematics leads to consistent brain activity.

The conclusion of the study is that the children have different approaches of learning and more brain activity takes place when they solve mathematics. Further study will help those students who have a learning disability of  mathematics.  Adults and children learning capabilities and brain activity is quite different.
